Star aniseed, organic, 15 g

The dried, star-shaped fruits of the Asian Star Aniseed bush have an intense aniseed flavour and odour. Allow one or more whole aniseed stars stew in your Chinese and Indonesian dishes; it’s particularly good with pork and duck, but also great with stir-fried vegetables. Star aniseed is also delicious as an extra aniseed hit with stewed fennel, in home-made fruit syrup, jam and (coffee)liqueur, in herbal tea and in various desserts as well as ice cream.
