Elongated form, rounded off at both ends for baking a delicious strawberry cake, for example. A cake ring has no bottom. You use it to cut out rolled out dough that you subsequently fill with, for instance, almond paste. After baking you can add a topping: patisserie cream with fruit or soft cheese – the options are endless. You can then add the filling. You can also use the ring to present food on a serving dish such as rice. The cake ring is made from strong, stainless steel and does not have a synthetic, non-stick interior. Dille & Kamille opts for ‘old-fashioned’ baking tins without plastics. After all, these are pollutant during manufacturing and could end up in your cake due to wear and tear. Stainless steel makes a great alternative, is long life and scratch resistant. Tip: grease the interior before use, for instance with butter, then dust with some flour. This helps ensure your baked goods emerge in one piece.
